Welcome to my blog!
Well, never thought the need to have a blog, although it has already become as common as email these days. The reason is simple, and in summary – no time, no energy and most importantly, no events! However, my placement with UNDP in Namibia grants me the superb reason to set up my own finally – come on, Africa!! How many people around you would think of going to Africa and how many of them have actually come to Africa, and how often you would come to Africa – it’s almost like an once-in-a-lifetime thing.
I will be staying in Windhoek, which is the capital city of Namibia, for the next six months. I am not a backpacker, neither a luxury traveller/tourist, I am a Junior Professional Consultant (JPC) working with the UNDP Namibia under limited funding. As a result, during my stay, I would more or less live like a local person. I know six months is not long enough to fully understand a country or even a city, but I do believe that this experience will help me savour a good taste of the city as well as the country, and learn better of the Namibian issues and hopefully open the door to understand Africa in general.
I promise that I will update my blog on a regular basis, at least during the six-month’s duration. So for those of you who are interested to know my adventures here, and for those who are concerned of my life here, please check my blog when you miss or think of me. You should be able to find my latest journals along with photos. And, your comments are always welcomed here.
And, I want to thank you all for your support, concern and love! I wish you all well and I miss you all!
